The Encode Filter is used to convert all 8-bit text in the body of the email message to 7-bit quoted-printable text. This will allow users to receive email with 8-bit extended characters. The encode filter strips the 8-bit characters off and converts them to 7-bit quoted-printable. The user's client then takes the 7-bit quoted-printable format and displays the 8-bit character equivalent which can be read in the email.
Encode Filter Information dialog box
The Filter Information dialog box gives a description of the filter.
To edit the Encode Filter click the Edit button.
By default the Encode Filter is disabled. If you would like to enable the filter select the Enable check box and click Next and then to confirm the change click the Apply button on the next dialog box.
