SLmail must be registered or it will cease to function after the evaluation period (typically 14 days) if you chose to install SLmail as an evaluation during installation.
You may register SLmail from Start Menu by going to; Start > Programs > SL Products > SLmail > SLmail License Manager. This will open The SLmail License Manager utility.

As you can see in the lower portion of the dialog box, the installed version of SLmail is a demo version and will time out (cease to function) on September 10.
To register SLmail, select the Add Licenses radio button and click Next. This will open the Add License dialog box to complete your registration.
License Manager
Registration requires you to enter two values. The first is your serial number. You receive your serial number from Seattle Lab when you purchase SLmail. In most cases, it is the same as your invoice number. You should record your serial number in a safe place because you will need it to receive customer care (technical support). The serial number consists of numerical digits.
The second number required is your authorization code. You will also receive this code from Seattle Lab when you purchase a copy of SLmail. The authorization code (previously known as your registration key) is tied to your serial number. The authorization code is a string of 16 characters that may be letters or numbers. This code must be entered in exactly as sent to you from Seattle Lab. All letters must be in upper case. You should record your authorization code along with your serial number. While you may never need to use it again, you will need to re-enter it if you must every do a clean install of SLmail.
When you are finished entering the codes, click the Register button. The License manager will open the License Report dialog box.

As you can now see in the lower portion of the dialog box, an unlimited user license has been added with the serial number 123456. If you would like to add additional user licenses keep the Add Licenses radio button selected and click Next to repeat the process. If you are finished adding licenses, select the Exit radio button and click Next to close the utility.
